A little about me as a therapist
Welcome! Getting to know your therapist can be scary, and I want to create a comfortable space for you. I have worked in behavioral and mental health care for almost 5 years now! I love what I do and have a love of learning.
My therapy style
When I am not working
I tend to lean towards a person-centered therapy approach, while incorporating aspects from other theories such as logotherapy (finding meaning in your life), cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness-based stress reduction. I believe in tailoring my style towards each individual client. I prefer to take a non-directive approach as this is your therapy, and I will be a support along your journey.
I enjoy working with adolescents and adults. I have worked extensively with anxiety, depression, and self-esteem.
I enjoy spending time with my husband and our dog doing projects at our house or exploring new places. I make sure that I take time for self-care including doing yoga, meditation, hiking, or baking. I grew up in New York, so any chance I get I head back to see my family and hit the beach!
