A little about me as a therapist
With a career in behavioral and mental health spanning since 2013, I have experience in residential, community mental health, and corrections. I hold a Masters of Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh, obtained in 2013, and I furthered my education with a postgraduate Animals and Human Health certificate in 2017.
My therapy style
When I am not working
My approach to therapy centers on creating a supportive and safe environment where clients can address concerns such as life adjustments, compassion fatigue and burnout, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and postpartum wellness. I draw primarily from cognitive-behavioral and solution-focused treatment modalities, empowering clients to identify and modify unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors while tackling challenges head-on. Setting goals together and implementing practical strategies for change is essential. This collaborative approach ensures that therapy is tailored to the individual needs of each client while allowing clients to actively engage in their journey towards improvement and growth.
I find joy in spending time with loved ones, time outdoors, reading, listening to music, eating a delicious meal, and practicing gratitude. These activities help me remain grounded and maintain balance.
