A little about me as a therapist
I have been in the mental health field for the past 24 years, serving in various capacities. I love working with people and helping them discover all that they can be.
My therapy style
When I am not working
I prefer to use a person-centered approach to therapy. I feel that the client knows their needs best, so I encourage them to identify, work through, and overcome these. To me, it is imperative to provide a caring, supportive environment in which clients feel they can openly express their thoughts and feelings in a manner in which they feel safe and heard.
I enjoy working with adolescents and adults who are seeking help for a variety of reasons. As a therapist, I have experience supporting individuals through depression, anxiety, peer conflict, social relationships, parenting issues, and substance use. I am always willing to support individuals who just need someone to talk to through a difficult time or situation in their life.
I enjoy spending time with my family and son, camping, spending time outdoors, going on road trips, and cooking. I am a strong advocate of self-care, and am passionate about running, exercising and eating healthy.
